A former care facility worker in Riverside, California, has been arrested after allegedly using a hidden cellphone to secretly record staff members inside an employee restroom.
Williams Coronado-Morales, 38, of Riverside, was identified as the suspect by the Riverside Police Department.
Police began investigating on July 9 after an employee at Riverwalk Post Acute Care, located on Harrison Street, discovered a cellphone hidden inside a single-occupancy employee restroom.
Detectives from the department’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit obtained search warrants and reviewed digital evidence, surveillance footage and employment records as part of the investigation.
Investigators identified Coronado-Morales, a former employee of the facility, as the person allegedly responsible for the concealed device.
Police said they identified seven victims who were recorded without their consent. Detectives are continuing to review evidence and investigate whether there may be additional victims.
Coronado-Morales was located and arrested in Riverside on September 8. He was booked on seven counts of invasion of privacy and his bail was set at $5,000.
