Jay-Z will perform at the Super Bowl 61 halftime show on Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced Monday.
The performance will mark the first time the 25-time Grammy winner takes the Super Bowl halftime stage as a performer. Jay-Z has led Roc Nation’s production of the show since 2019, helping bring major hip-hop and pop artists to one of the biggest stages in entertainment.
“From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey,” Jay-Z said in a statement to Variety. “Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said he had hoped Jay-Z would eventually perform after Roc Nation partnered with the league to produce the show.
“When we first reached an agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had just one request: that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him,” Goodell said.
The announcement follows a year of celebrations marking the anniversaries of Jay-Z’s albums “Reasonable Doubt” and “The Blueprint.” His tour included sold-out shows at Yankee Stadium in July and performances in London and Paris before concluding with two shows at SoFi Stadium on Oct. 23 and 24.
Recent Super Bowl halftime performers include Bad Bunny in 2026, Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024 and Rihanna in 2023. The 2022 show in Los Angeles featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar, with appearances by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak.
The Super Bowl 61 halftime show will air on ESPN, ABC and Disney+, with mobile streaming available through NFL+. Roc Nation will executive produce the performance, while Hamish Hamilton will direct it.
