A Florida man has been charged with transmitting an interstate threat after the FBI said he posted videos showing firearms and tactical equipment while allegedly threatening to “hunt Jews.”
A Florida man, Duncan Fraser MacDonald, has been charged with transmitting an interstate threat after the FBI said he posted videos showing firearms and tactical equipment while allegedly threatening to “hunt Jews,” according to a criminal complaint filed September 18 in the Middle District of Florida.
According to an FBI affidavit, the investigation began after a Jewish community security director reported MacDonald’s Instagram videos to the FBI on September 17.
The FBI said the videos showed a room containing firearms, ammunition, tactical gear and other equipment. A Jacksonville Jaguars flag could also be seen on the wall.
In one video, the narrator allegedly called the firearms an “arsenal” and said “You know, you need those, because we’re over here gonna hunt Jews. We’re gonna, take them out because the Austrian painter was correct.”
Another video showed what the FBI described as a flamethrower and a mount for a .50-caliber weapon. A third video showed loaded firearm magazines and tactical vests, with the narrator making additional statements about using the weapons.
Investigators later identified the narrator as MacDonald after comparing his appearance with Florida driver’s license records. The FBI said MacDonald had a brown beard, a bald head and black-framed glasses.
Investigators also reviewed text messages between MacDonald and the person who reported the videos. During the exchange, MacDonald allegedly made comments about a large Jewish community and responded with laughter when the complainant mentioned hate crimes against Jews.
The FBI obtained subscriber information from T-Mobile for a phone number associated with MacDonald and records from Meta for the Instagram account _duncannn. Investigators also reviewed Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles records, which identified him as Duncan Fraser MacDonald.
The affidavit says investigators identified another man seen in the videos and determined that the kitchen shown in MacDonald’s videos matched photographs of that person’s residence in Middleburg, Florida. FBI surveillance on September 18 also observed a vehicle registered to MacDonald outside his residence.
The FBI concluded that MacDonald transmitted a true threat to injure another person between September 16 and September 17, 2026, in violation of federal law. A federal magistrate judge signed the criminal complaint and arrest warrant on September 18.
