A man was taken into custody after opening fire on officers during a barricade situation in Los Angeles, California, local media reported.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of gunfire on the 220800 block of Carbon Mesa Road in Malibu. Upon their arrival, the suspect allegedly fired at the deputies before barricading himself inside a residence, according to KTLA.
Aerial footage from KTLA and KTTV showed a heavy police presence surrounding the property, with heavily armed officers strategically deployed.
The suspect has since been arrested, and no injuries to officers have been reported.
