Karoline Leavitt Appointed as Donald Trump’s White House Press Secretary

Karoline Leavitt has been announced as the incoming White House Press Secretary for President-elect Donald Trump, making history as the youngest individual to assume this role in the United States.

Leavitt, 27, played a pivotal role in Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign as the national press secretary. Her prior experience includes serving as an assistant press secretary during the closing year of Trump’s first administration.

“Karoline Leavitt did a phenomenal job as the National Press Secretary on my Historic Campaign, and I am pleased to announce she will serve as White House Press Secretary,” Trump declared in a statement issued on Friday.

The President-elect further stated: “Karoline is smart, tough, and has proven to be a highly effective communicator. I have the utmost confidence she will excel at the podium, and help deliver our message to the American People as we, Make America Great Again.”

A native of New Hampshire, Leavitt also worked as communications director for U.S. Representative Elise Stefanik after departing the White House in 2021. In 2022, she made an unsuccessful bid for a U.S. House seat, winning the Republican primary but losing the general election to Democratic incumbent Chris Pappas.

Trump and his administration are due to take office on January 20, 2025.
